Three-Grain Pancakes
This recipe is uses our signature three-grain pancake mix, which features a combination of wheat flour, buckwheat, and cornmeal. Our grains are all stone ground and mixed in small batches for maximum nutritional benefits and freshness.
Ingredients:
1 cup pancake mix
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup buttermilk (or can substitute 3/4 cup milk of your choice + 1 tablespoon white vinegar)
2 tablespoons melted and cooled butter
Directions:
Combine egg, milk, and butter in a bowl.
Add the pancake mix. Stir quickly to moisten, then drop 1/4 cup scoops on a hot, greased pan or griddle.
You know it’s time to flip your pancakes when bubbles start to form on the top and the edges start turning golden brown. finish cooking the second side for 2-3 minutes more, checking underneath for desired doneness.
Serve with your favorite toppings (we like fruit and maple syrup), and Enjoy!
Makes about 8 pancakes. Each 18 oz bag of our pancake mix contains approximately 4 cups of mix.
