This Spiced Ginger Molasses Granola is a perfect blend of warm spices, crunchy oats, and rich, deep molasses flavor—bringing cozy comfort to your breakfast or snack time.
Packed with nutrient-dense ingredients, this granola is as wholesome as it is delicious. Oats are a fantastic source of fiber, which helps support heart health and keeps you feeling full longer. Meanwhile, molasses is rich in iron, calcium, and antioxidants, making it a natural sweetener with added health benefits. Whether sprinkled over yogurt, paired with milk, or enjoyed straight from the jar, this granola is a nourishing and flavorful treat!
Ingredients
3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats (Buy Deep Roots Milling Rolled Oats Here)
1 cup shredded unsweetened dried coconut
1/2 cup shelled pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup raisins or other dried fruit
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
1/4 cup blackstrap molasses
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup coconut oil
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 275°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, coconut, pumpkin seeds, raisins (or your choice of dried fruit), ginger, cinnamon, and salt. Stir well to evenly distribute the spices.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, mix the coconut oil, honey, and molasses. Microwave on low until melted and smooth. Pour the warm mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well coated.
Spread the granola mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet, keeping it in a thick layer.
Bake for 45 minutes, stirring gently every 15 minutes to ensure even toasting. The granola will still be slightly moist when it comes out of the oven but will crisp up as it cools.
Once completely cooled, transfer the granola to an airtight glass jar. Store at room temperature for up to two weeks.
Enjoy your homemade granola as a snack, with yogurt, or sprinkled over your favorite breakfast bowl!
